A view weeks ago I was in the store Elove Love in Hanalie and saw a beautiful photo of Hanalie Bay taken from way back, maybe from the bluff at Princeville or a helicopter at the mouth of the bay. The pier was in the distance and then the whole bay and valley and the 3 mountain peaks. It was not “Clearing Squall at Hanalie Pier”. I thought it was black and white but maybe it was in color. Did you take the photo I am remembering and if so, is it on your website? I would like to order one if I can find it.

Thank you so much for teaching the sunset photo shoot at the Maui Photo Festival, I was one of the scholarship kids who attended the festival. I learnt a lot from the photo shoot and I got permission to enter 3 of the shots of the hula dancers into the Maui County Fair Photo Salon. If you are at the fair, check them out.

I’m getting excited, inspired, and ever so slightly better with my camera each time we go out for a day of shooting.

There were 9 young people sponsored by Canon at the Grand Canyon yesterday. They give 2 x 2-hr seminars per day for 3 weeks. About 60 people per session so lots of personalized help. They even loan cameras up to 5D Mark IIs with a variety of lenses. Loved it!

We can’t wait to get to Maui in Sept for your classes at the Maui Photo Festival.

Give Rachael a belated birthday hug for Sheila and me. Mahalo nui.
