This five-day workshop for teens is designed to introduce your teenager to the fundamental operations and creative techniques of modern digital camera photography. Course instructor is highly acclaimed camera-artist Randy Jay Braun.

By the end of this course, students will be comfortable selecting appropriate settings on their cameras to create pre-visualized images, which they will further enhance using current computer editing techniques.

Course instructor is internationally acclaimed art-photographer Randy Jay Braun. Randy began shooting professionally 27 years ago. Until recently, he operated the Randy Jay Braun Gallery on Maui for nearly two decades. Now he enjoys spending more time teaching creative camera skills to new enthusiasts.

Enrollment – limited to 12

Students should bring:

• Digital SLR camera with at least one lens
• Digital memory card to fit your camera (4 gigabyte is good.)
• Laptop computer with power cable (A wireless mouse is helpful.)
• Adobe Lightroom4 Software (Free 30 day trial version available from Adobe.com. Student price will be about $100 for full box version. Note: This software can be activated on 2 computers in the same household simultaneously.)
• Cable or card reader to upload digital images from camera to the computer
• Sack lunch, snacks and drinks
• Backpack / Book bag / camera bag with strap to carry camera on neighborhood walks
• Walking shoes
• Tripod – optional
• Camera battery charger – optional
• Second Camera Lens – optional
