• Randy Jay Braun's open edition and limited edition photographs are original works of art that are custom printed by Randy in his darkroom. They are then sepia toned (brown toned) for an antique effect and, lastly, hand colored with permanent oils, oil pencils, and re-touching dyes-all made for use on photographs.
• Limited Edition Photographs are signed and numbered by Randy; edition size is limited to 75, meaning that Randy - in each photo size-will only print 75 of that image.
• Open Edition Photographs are signed by Randy; there is no limit to how many Randy may print of these images.
• Both Limited Edition and Open Edition photographs are available in four standard photo sizes: 8"x10", 11"x14", 16"x20" & 20"x24"

• The reproduction prints are available in the following sizes (Note: not all images are available in all sizes): 5"x7" print (in an 8"x10" double mat); 8"x10" print (in an 11"x14" double mat); 11"x14" print (in a 16"x20" double mat); 16"x20" print (in a 20"x24" double mat). Nine images are also available as posters (19.5"x26").
  
• Mat colors are always Spice Ivory exterior mat with an Olive Green liner. Mats and prints can be signed or personalized by Randy as well. To the right is a sample of a matted print.

Limited Edition and Open Edition photographs are handcrafted works of art. Please allow from three to four weeks for production of these custom items. • Koa wood is Hawaii's precious native wood and is prized for its beautiful color and grain. Found at higher elevations, it stands over 70 feet in height when fully grown. In ancient times, koa wood was crafted exclusively for royalty. Sculptured images of gods, personal containers, and canoes were made by the Hawaiians from this native wood. In old times, a piece of koa was placed on the hula altar to make the dancer fearless. (Koa means "brave" in Hawaiian.)
  
• Nothing frames a Randy Jay Braun image more beautifully than a koa wood frame-a Hawaiian image in a Hawaiian wood frame. The koa frames we offer are available in a 1-inch moulding or a 2-inch moulding. Pictured to the above right is a sample 2-inch Koa framed image.
• When you order a 5x7 matted print in a koa frame, it comes in an 8x10 frame; an 8x10 matted print comes in an 11x14 frame; an 11x14 matted print comes in a 16x20 frame; and, a 16x20 matted print comes in a 20x24 frame.

• Through his images, Randy tries not only to preserve a key aspect of the Hawaiian culture but also to capture the beauty of the hula tradition and the Hawaiian people.
• Most of the images are photographed during sunset, using the natural light of sunset. The dancers are always in mid-dance when Randy captures his shots; dancers are not posing. This creates a sense of reality and intensity within Randy's portfolio of images.
• The dancers in Randy's images are talented dancers, most of who are currently dancing with hula halau (hula troope). Many of them are competition winners and some of them are kumu hula (hula teachers).

Randy's original photographs, transparencies, negatives, or digital files will be transformed into a giclee print. The giclee print is a digital printing process that ensures top quality reproduction. You giclee print will be produced with genuine Epson seven-color Ultracrome inks ont acid-free cotton watercolor paper or canvas. The inks are pigmented formulations with Longevity ratings of more than 80 years. Care should taken to properly display your fine art in Lighting conditions to Ensure maximum Longevity.
